Weekly product update!
Final UX testing of our verification request feature is currently underway in-house. As mentioned last week, this enables a Verifier to request a specific credential from a holder, i.e. a DeFi platform requests a credit rating from a user (also referred to as a Holder).
The Holder scans a QR code, receives the request, checks the credential the Verifier is requesting and approves the request to share the credential with the DeFi platform. The release of this feature is imminent. Watch this space!
We’ve also completed the design phase of distributing credentials and credential requests via Dock’s own relay service from one Decentralized Identifier to another.
This would keep the distribution of credentials entirely within the Dock Network, and Issuers and Verifiers would no longer need to use email / instant messaging to distribute credentials. Similarly, the same relay can be used by Verifiers to request credentials.
And finally, an Association proposal to upgrade the Dock mainnet has been prepped and will be published today. This upgrade will pave the way for the Dock / Ethereum bridge to go live later this year!
